From our home in the Emerald City, we work to connect rescues, share resources, and help pets find their furever homes through our network of Flying Monkeys—a dedicated group of volunteers and advocates.

Named in honor of Elphaba from Wicked, a fierce advocate for animals, we, too, are here to be a voice for the voiceless. Because every pet deserves a chance, and no rescue should have to go it alone. As you can see, we also believe in bringing a little whimsy and fun to the important work being done.

Like many rescues, we started with passion. Founders Stephanie Skeffington and Holly Gardner, best friends since third grade, devoted their free time to working with rescue organizations. Through their experiences, they saw a missing piece—a Link. Rescues often work in isolation, struggling to find the tools and connections they need. Instead of every group starting from scratch, we set out to bridge that gap, fostering collaboration, resource-sharing, and stronger networks to save more lives.

At Elphie’s Animal Alliance, we believe in the power of connection. By linking rescues with each other and with established resources, we help them maximize their impact. Whether through mentorship, strategic partnerships, or direct support, our goal is to create stronger, more effective rescue efforts.

Our mission is to build Yellow Brick Roads—pathways that lead rescues to the support they need and animals to the loving homes they deserve, across the U.S. and beyond.
